Some users report when plugging in a monitor to the recorder unit, all that is displayed is the Date & Time, and also the mouse cannot be operated.
If both of these symptoms are being experienced simultaneously, that would mean the user has inserted the HDMI cable into the wrong HDMI port of the recorder unit. A 32 channel (or higher) recorder will have 2 HDMI ports. HDMI1 is the Main Monitor Output, and HDMI2 is the Secondary Monitor Output.
The mouse, as well as the system settings, can only be operated from the main monitor.
Please look on the back of the recorder unit in question and ensure that the HDMI cable is plugged into the correct HDMI connection. In this case, it should be plugged into HDMI1.
Please note that the individual HDMI ports are labeled as HDMI1 and HDMI2.
