When using intensifier cameras, light levels play a significant role in the quality of the image. When using the intensifier function, there must be at minimum; a low level of light to aid in the sensor displaying color at night. If there is not enough light, the camera will turn on it's IR sensor resulting in a black/white image. For optimizing the functionality of this feature, there is a setting that can be adjusted.
Day/Night Mode is going to be the primary decider that determines if the camera will activate it's intensifier or IR sensor.
Setting this mode to Day will keep the camera in full color and will prevent the IR from firing.
Setting this mode to Night will force the cameras' IR sensor on and will result in a black and white image.
Setting this mode to Auto will determine what mode the camera will use automatically based on the amount of light.
Setting this mode to Timing will allow a specific time for both day and night mode to trigger.
Sensitivity will become an option when set to Auto. The options will be low,mid,high.The higher the sensitivity the more likely the camera will switch to night mode resulting in the IR sensors turning on.
Note: If it is desired to keep the camera in strictly Intensifier mode (Color at night), it is recommended to keep this setting on Day only or setting it to Auto with a Low sensitivity.
