How to Use Talk Down Function on CHeKT

“Talk Down” function is used to broadcast messages to all the Speakers including IP and Cameras connected to the CHeKT bridge. Below are some essential configurations for this function.

  1. Select site details then audio messages. Then click edit to enable tts.


  2. Add the audio message on CHeKT platform



  3. Add Camera Audio - If the camera has audio capabilities, you can add the Cameras audio using the same IP address as the camera. During this process, it is recommended to test the audio to ensure proper functionality and messaging.



  4. After adding the camera’s audio, please go to the IP camera’s web interface to confirm that the audio configuration is correct. If you plan to use the built-in speaker of the IP camera, select the speaker and choose “AUTO.” If you are connecting an external speaker to the camera’s audio output port, select the audio output and choose “AUTO.” After making your
    selection, save the configuration.



  5. On the CHeKT platform, go tomonitoring portal to completethe talk down function.



  6. Click “Talk Down” to display the talk down function menu.



  7. Select one pre-defined audio message and send the audio message. You can record one live voice message and send it to the speakers.



  8. On the CHEKT APP, you can also use the talk down function. Go to the live camera and click broadcast. You will be able to use the pre-defined message and live message on the broadcast.



  9. Note: The TEXT function is not active currently. This function will be updated in future CHeKT versions.
