How to use Network Status Detection on 1.4.13 firmware

Network Status Detection is a great way to remotely check connection from your recorder to other devices on the local network, such as IP cameras or routers. This can be used to diagnose packet loss or high latency on a local network. 

  • Select Settings

 

  • Select Network > Network Status

 

  • Select Network Status Detection

 

  • Enter an IP address on the local network to send a ping to that device. 

 

  • Check your results of the ping. It will display if the destination address is reachable, the delay time, as well as the percentage of packets which were lost.
