This guide shows how to set up target counting and email reports for target counting totals on a Speco Blue recorder.
-
Navigate to Settings>AI Event

-
Under the AI Event box navigate to More

-
Select your desired camera and select either Target Counting by Line Crossing or Target Counting by Intrusion.

-
Check the Enable box to turn on the analytic, draw a line or select dots based on the analytic that's being set up. In this example, line crossing is used.

- To enable the onscreen overlay, navigate to the tab labled "OSD Overlay" and click on the Display OSD checkbox and click Apply.
- This can be customized with specific labels and messages based on the threshold status

Breakdown of Each Feature:

Enable
Turns Target counting ON.
Example: Check this box to begin target counting on the selected channel.
Schedule
Defines when the analytic is active.
Example: 24x7 keeps the analytic running continuously for target counting.
Duration
Sets the time the analytic will wait to capture a sperate event. (Targets will still be counted, this will just separate the event.)
Time Threshold
Sets a duration for how long the between the target entering before they can be registered as an exit.
Target Size
Sets the minimum and maximum object size allowed for the analytic. Example: Min 1% ignores tiny objects; Max 90% prevents oversized scene triggers.
Target
Selects the primary target type shown in the setup controls. Example: People lets a technician tune the field for human movement at the gate.
Display Range
Shows the active detection overlay on the image. Example: enable this to verify the drawn area and blocked area before saving.
Detection Target
Lets you enable the object classes that will generate metadata. Example: People, Motor Vehicle, and Non-motor Vehicle can all be enabled together.
People
Enables human classification metadata for the selected area.
Motor Vehicle
Enables vehicle classification metadata for cars, trucks, and similar road vehicles.
Non-motor Vehicle
Enables metadata for targets such as bicycles and other non-motorized traffic.
Sensitivity
Controls how easily each enabled class is detected. Example: 50 is a balanced starting point; raise it only when additional detection is needed.
Staying Threshold
Defines the amount of targets can enter before an alarm is triggered. Example: if the threshold is set to three and a fourth person enters, an alarm will sound. (Keeping this at 0 will keep it off).
