After a PTZ camera is moved, the Home Position feature will return the camera to its original position. Here is how to set that up.
Works on O4P30X2 / O4P25X / O4P25X2 / O4P4X2
**In order to setup a Home Position, a connection between a computer and the camera must first be established. For a guide on how to connect to an IP camera from a computer, CLICK HERE.**
Step 1 :
- After logging into the camera, select config from the top left corner.
- Chose PTZ, then PTZ Function from the menu that appears on the left.
- Select Home Position at the top of the page.
- Insert a checkmark in the checkbox for Run.
- Verify the Location is set to Preset and contains the number 71 in the next box.
- The Wait Time options determine how much time will need to pass to activate the Home Position function.
- Using the PTZ controls underneath the image, please set the camera to the position it will need to return to after each event.
- Select Save.
- Select Home Position at the top of the page.
Step 2 :
- At the top of the page, select Preset.
- Select the Create button.
- A Small menu will appear and ask for an ID number and a Preset Name.
- The ID number will be the number inserted for the Preset Location on the last page. It should be set to 71. Please insert 71 in the ID section.
- The preset name can be given any name, but it is recommended to call it Home.
- Please verify the camera position is set to the position it will need to return to after each event, as mentioned in Step 1.
- Select Save Position.
- A Small menu will appear and ask for an ID number and a Preset Name.
- Select the Create button.
The camera should now return to its original Home Position after its position has been changed.
