How to import/export a Configuration file on a Speco Blue recorder

This article reviews a step-by-step guide on how to import and export a configuration files on a Speco Blue Recorder. The files hold info like users, recording settings, etc.

On the recorders local interface:

Note: This will require a flash drive formatted to FAT32 in order to be detected by the recorder.

  • Navigate to Settings > System > Backup and Restore

  • From here select the flash drive listed and select "export" or "recover"

Note: Restoring or backing up will only work with the same model recorder and same firmware version

  • Include network configuration: includes any network configuration that has been set up (static IP, custom DNS, custom ports, etc.)
  • Include Data Encrypted Password: Gives the option to create ausername/password for the config file itself. Will be required when uploading the file to anew system

On the web interface:

  • Navigate to Settings

  • Go To System > Backup and Restore

  • From here an export can be done to save a configuration file whereas an import would be restoring it.
