How to enable Full Permissions for Users in the Administrator Permission Group 

By default, the recorder’s default “Administrator” permissions group does not include ‘Account and Authority’ permission. This prohibits other admins from being able to add/edit/delete the Account and Authority of other users. Only the default Admin (the one created from the factory) has full access to the management of the Account and Authority permission.



This is sued in circumstances where a user is not seeing "Account and Authority" on the Speco Blue App while using the Administrator Permission Group.



Solution:

  • Under Edit Permission Group, select the Administrator Permission Group.
  • You will see that there is no check next to Account and Authority.
    • You cannot Edit the Administrator permission group, but you can duplicate it and modify it.
    • Click on Save As.



  • This duplicated the Administrator Permission Group.
    • Rename the Group Name to AdministratorUser.
    • Check the box next to Account and Authority.
    • Then click Add.



  • Go back to Edit Permission Group, select the AdministratorUser Permission Group and you will see that there is a check next to Account and Authority.



  • When adding new users with administrator role, select this newly created AdministratorUser Permission Group to allow for full permission.
