How to create a License Plate Group Database on a Speco Blue Recorder

This guide will go over the steps required to utilize the Intelligent Analytics feature of creating a License Plate Group Database on a Speco Blue Recorder.


  • From the live screen, select the Hamburger ☰ button in the top right corner and select Intelligent Analytics.

  • The Intelligent Analytics menu will appear.
    • At the top of the page, select Sample Database.
      • Select Plate on the left side, and then select Add Group at the bottom.

  • The Add Group menu will appear. Click the empty field and insert a name for the group of license plates. It can be named anything.
    • Select OK when done.

  • The created group should now appear listed on the Sample Database screen.
    • Select Add Plate at the bottom of the screen. A menu will appear.
      • The first option on the menu is Plate. Type in the license plate number that needs to be added to the database. This option is required for recognition.
        • Please use capital letters and do not use any spaces.
      • Vehicle Type is an added note to help the user identify what vehicle the license plate belongs to.
      • Vehicle Owner is an added note to help the user identify who the vehicle belongs to.
      • Mobile is an added note for the user.
      • Group allows the user to assign the license plate to a specific group if there are multiple groups established.
        • Vehicle Type, Vehicle Owner, and Mobile are not required for recognition to function.
          • Select OK once the plate information has been inserted.

A license plate group should now be established. To create more groups and/or license plates, please repeat the steps followed in the guide.
