How to Connect an IP Speaker to Blue Series Recorder for Digital Deterrent
Please note, this can only be setup on recorders that run firmware 1.4.12 or newer.
- Make sure both the recorder as well as the IP Speaker are both on the same network with valid IP addresses.
- Run the Speco Audio Manager on a computer to find the IP address of your speaker
- On the recorder, to Settings > Camera > IP Speaker > Add IP Speaker
- Click Add
- Click Add
- Manually input the camera details
- IPv4: The IP address from Step 1
- Protocol: ONVIF
- Port: 80
- Username: admin
- Password: 1234
- Linkage: select the camera source that you want to tie the digital deterrent to
- Click Add
- Go to Settings > AI/Event > Digital Deterrent
- Click on Local Audio Alarm
- Set the desired digital deterrent schedule for the IP speaker
- Select the output volume
- Plug a USB Thumb Drive, with the digital deterrent file of your choice loaded on it, into the recorders USB port
- Click Add to upload the desired audio file for the digital deterrent to play
- File must be .WAV and under 1.5 MB
- When uploading the file, it must be on a FAT32 thumb drive
- Click OK
- Set the desired digital deterrent schedule for the IP speaker
- On the left side bar go to AI/Event > Perimeter Detection
- Select the Analytic you want to use for digital deterrent
- (Line crossing, intrustion, etc.)
- Configure your analytic as normal
- Select the Analytic you want to use for digital deterrent
- Under Trigger Mode, towards the right side under Trigger IP Speaker, click the drop down arrow and select the desired audio file that was uploaded in the last step
- Click Apply
- Click Apply
- Now, when the analytic event is triggered, the prerecorded message will play out of the IP Speaker
