How to Add a Speco IP Audio Speaker to Immix

This article is a step-by-step guide on adding your Speco IP Audio Speaker to the Immix Platform.



  •  Log into Immix with sign-in credentials



  • Navigate to the “Setup” tab
    • Select “Add a Site



  • Enter all of the necessary information on the “Add Site” page (only a site name is required to create a site)
    • Click the “Next” button at the bottom right-hand side of the screen.



  • Next, add a logo if desired
    • Click “Next” until you reach the Devices page
    • Select “Add a Device





  •  The device detail screen will appear.
    • Click on “Show all” for Device Type Filter
    • Select “Immix Onvif” for the Device Type
    • Give the device a name under “Title



  • Under the “Connection Details”, enter IP address of the device
    • The Port Number is typically 80
    • Username and password of the device
    • The RTSP port which is typically 554
    • If the information has been entered correctly, green check marks will appear on the right side of the text box under IP/Host and Port
    • Click on the “Get Config” button





  • The device will appear under the “Get Config” button
    • Make sure that there is a check mark in the box.
    • Click the “Done” button. 



  • The Speco IP Audio Speaker has now successfully been integrated with Immix.



Testing the IP Speaker

  • The speaker will be added to the Current Device page.
    • To test the speaker, click on the “Alarms” tab. 



  • Then click the “Site Check” button on the right hand side and select the site that the IP speaker has been added to. 



  • The speaker will be listed under Audio.
    • Selecting the sound icon will pick up any sound detect by the speaker’s microphone.
    • Press and hold the microphone button to enable communication out through the speaker
