Configuring Speco Cameras on Avigilon Servers.
- Avigilon servers with Speco cameras, ONVIF is PREFERRED, programming is STATIC .
- There is NO DHCP reservation on Avigilon servers. Therefore, no way to bind a MAC of a camera to an IP address. If there is a blink or drop in the network, the camera can change its IP address.
- It is also noted that the Speco Camera must be programmed directly and not via the Avigilon tool.
- If a black screen is identified on the Aviligon App, it it is a result of the throughput being too high. It is recommended to follow these instructions to resolve the issue.
- Change the camera FPS to 12-15 directly in the camera
- Go into the Avigilon Client. (1) Select the Gear, (2) Select Settings, (3) Select Network. (4) Select the site you are working on.
- Switch from the default “LAN” to the “WAN” connection. This will change the protocol to a better tolerance.
IMPORTANT NOTE
It is recommended to make all camera changes (name, static address, location) directly in the camera and not through the Avigilon tool.
